Ten Count is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rihito Takarai. The series follows the story of a germaphobic man named Shirotani Tadaomi who meets a therapist named Kurose Riku. Kurose offers to help Shirotani overcome his obsessive-compulsive disorder by counting to ten whenever he feels anxious or stressed.
As the story develops, Shirotani and Kurose begin to form a close relationship, and Shirotani slowly starts to trust Kurose and open up about his past traumas. The series explores themes of mental health, trust, and healing through the emotional and complex relationship between the two main characters.
Ten Count was serialized in the magazine Dear+ from 2013 to 2017 and has been collected into six tankobon volumes. The manga has received critical acclaim for its beautiful artwork, engaging storyline, and realistic portrayal of mental health issues. It has also gained a large following both in Japan and internationally.
